An extra layer of realism on your nail-biting raids.

There are not many games out there that can boast to be as realistic and hard-hitting as SWAT 4. But if you're looking for an experience that's one step closer to the real thing, then chances are that the Elite Force Mod is the way to go. Incidentally, the DRM-free version of SWAT 4 that just debuted on GOG.com is fully supported by this mod, so don't hesitate to take it for a spin!

Elite Force includes tons of bugfixes, gameplay tweaks, and strategic additions for the tactical enthusiast who doesn't mind the extra challenge, if it means all of their de-briefing praise and reprimands will feel truly earned. Some of the most noticeable changes made by modder eezstreet include:

- Additional equipment options
- A greater variety in the suspects' and hostages' behavior
- A brand-new Traps mechanic
- Harsher penalties for your less-restrained actions
- More realistic equipment that requires careful use
- A secondary objective that lets you collect drug evidence on the scene
- A unified campaign that includes all the main game's missions plus the ones from The Stetchkov Syndicate expansion

This is far from a finished project, however, and plans for the immediate future include an extra Mission taking place in a restaurant, as well as gameplay mechanics that will force you to think harder about your mission loadout and will change how body armor works. Keep an eye on its comprehensive Mod DB page to learn about all the exciting developments.

So, are there any other SWAT 4 mods you guys would recommend? Feel free to let the rest of our precinct know!

SWAT 4 is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

I was wondering the same thing.

Instructions read:
HOW TO INSTALL #
Copy the folder containing this folder (SEFMod) into your SWAT 4 directory (the one containing Content and ContentExpansion).
By default this folder is located in C:/Program Files (x86)/SWAT 4 or C:/Program Files (x86)/Sierra/SWAT 4

To run the game, use the "Launch SEFMod.bat" file. To run SWATEd, use the "Launch SwatEd.bat" file.
You can make a shortcut to these .bat files for more convenience.
I did all of that and ran one of the bat files..waited a bit, fired the game up, couldn't see anything, shut the game down, hit the other bat file...rinse and repeat...nothing...so I'm guessing I'm probably missing something really dumb.

I really want to give this a shot. :)

Place the .bat files into the "content" subfolder and try running them from there.

Is there a way this will work for multiplayer? And or for the expansion?
Hmm, I can't seem to get this installed and working.
Copied the files over the install directory and have the .bat files in the main directory but running it does nothing.
Tried moving them to the 'content' folder and that throws a config file error.

What am I missing? Thanks,

Hey! I'm Rangar, I'm part of the team that's developing Elite Force! It seems that you don't have it installed correctly. The "SEF" folder should be in your main Swat 4 folder next to Content and ContentExpansion. You then launch the batch file from within the SEF folder! Hope it helped.

Good luck , Rangar
I would be surprised if someone hasn't made a bent cop mode for this game.

One of the things which set it apart from the Rainbow 6 games at the time like Ravenshield was the ability to handcuff someone then beanbag them in the nuts while screaming at them to put their hands up, which they obviously can't,then pepper spray them in the face for non compliance.

Aha! Thanks. Silly mistake but working great now.
Is there anyway of using this mod with Gameranger for mulitplayer rather than using direct ip ?
I have the mod in the right folder (I believe) but I can't find any batch files, I looked in content/system and everywhere but can't find them. Where are they meant to be?

A silly question perhaps, but do you have file extensions hidden? IIRC that's the (terrible) default behaviour in Windows. If so, and you can see a file with the right name, just without ".bat" at the end, then it's probably the file you're looking for. (In this case I would strongly recommend finding out how to permanently show filename extensions, though.)

Hey everyone,

I recently installed SEF mod V6.

I did the correct installation, which put the SEF folder into the SWAT 4 folder next to content and contentExpansion folders.

But when i click on the launchSEF.bat file inside the SEF folder, game won't start and will pop out a windows cmd window
said: Grave error. It states that I overwrote the original files in the content and contentExpansion folder. But I did not overwrote any original files.

I tried move bat file into sub content folder and system folder inside SEF, but still same thing happened.

I really hope someone who knows how to fix this error can help me out!

-Thanks a lot!
Respectfully,
Jeffery.
