At the same time buying or owning 5 or more titles from the list will increase the additional discount to 10%.

Does anyone actually buy these collections?

nightcraw1er.488: Paradox essential collection, 6 million dlc you can’t live without…

Edit:
Paradox, more dlc than a scrabble production factory!

i_ni: I don't get the hate/negativity.
Say, you release a major iteration to a franchise every 5 years. What your business model would rather be?
Paradox are well known for releasing very buggy unfinished base products, and then endless dlc thereafter, it is their company policy. There are others who release a fair amount of dlc, but paradox are a major offender. If they put the effort into releasing a full working game originally then there wouldn’t be a problem. So there is no hate, simply poking fun at their business model. Same as beamdog so model is to slap a widescreen on a game and resell it.
I'm discovering these same best deals from famous publishers for like the 27th time. Never gets old.

Correct me if I'm wrong at getting your point: they release a buggy base product on purpose (because that's their business model and they'd rather milk their Customers with DLCs).
Or because of incompetency? Or something else?

mechmouse: And not a single new game from any of them!

NuffCatnip: According to the winter sale schedule, there won't be 'noteworthy', as in AAA or big indie titles, releases during the sale.
Disappointing, as some of those were highlights of prior sales. To me at least.
I can appreciate the staff wanting time off for the holidays and time to spend with family (I think sometimes forumites can miss empathy - not saying you specifically, just in general - since we get so annoyed or angry at GOG; the people not in control also get the brunt of the blame). It would have been nice if they had been able to schedule a AAA title release last week, but we did get the Armadas, and Isaac and Cave Story are pretty "big indie" games I think.

Just look at the reviews for their games:

For example.

Yes, you are right...

I watched the past Techland sale and thought, well, maybe it would be a great time, that the GOG store gets someting "new". I did hope for at least the first Chrome game to show up, or the first Xpand Rally. But we didn't get anything. :(
The Ubisoft bundle looks especially sad.

Niggles: Does anyone actually buy these collections?
I'm going out on a limb here by assuming, that nobody actually buys these collections as a whole.
However: I do believe that a lot of people buy parts of these collections.
