At first I was like "Avicii? but he's...." but then I read about that being his last project. I guess it will be a nice rythm game, wishlisted.

Just played Grip on my Linux PC and it runs great. using the Lutris Wine Build and using Garuda Linux on a Ryzen 7 2700X

arrua: I didn´t know this sale had deeper discounts ... To me, The Town of LIght´s discount was 94% and Grip´s was 90%. A bargain. :)
Thanks for the intel, prettey useful!
Neither did I and so is it to me. And the combination of the said two games makes it a total 92% off, which is the discount rate I can't resist XD

Thanks everyone mentioning the combo discounts. I think "The Town of Light" may be too intense for me, but that plus Grip is $3.43 while Grip alone is $5 :/. So maybe I'll give it a try. Or at least add it to my backlog (if only I could avoid these tempting sales :/ ). Invector could be interesting but looking at some reviews on Steam it sounds like there are some frustrating mechanics and I haven't had much luck with the few rhythm games I've tried so far. I'm not sure I'll like Grip either but the carkour levels sound interesting and might be my kind of thing even if the race levels aren't.

Thanks! That was my guess that you may have used the game in Linux :) Perhaps I'll take it with "Town" as a discount for both is tempting, as joveian said above.

By the way - why Geruda distro? (:

Quick review. Started and finished Town of Light yesterday in one evening.

As it has been said it is a walking sim in the purest sense (you explore, you walk, you look, you immerse - no true puzzles at all). The game is all about narration and immersion and partly succeeds. The regular playing scenes do look quite good and real but several of the "what happened in the past" scenes are shown in an specific artistic drawn graphic novel style that has nothing to to with reality. While these are important to see what happened in the mind or the protagonist they detached me a bit from the realistic regular gameplay ... but since they were told from the point of view of the protagonist it is still fitting since it is her way she sees reality. While understandable that they did this it might break immersion a bit.

Another point I disliked is that often you don't really get told where to go or search next so you end up looking for the next area that is now accessible. If you like exploration (including reading a few documents and examining some items - without being able to do anything with them) and don't mind the missing puzzles, if you are willing to dive into a mind of a girl that is not perfectly intact and if you are interested how people in earlier mental asylums might have felt it is a nice little game. I liked it despite the gameplay flaws. Some scenes are hard to digest though and be aware that regular playtime is around 5 hours max with some collectibles that are worth collecting and therefore maybe some additional playtime afterwards (you will be able to replay any chapter of the game after finishing it).

Let me bump this thread – those additional bundle discounts are really interesting.
And GRIP for ~2.5$ is a steal. A lot of fun and, indeed, works perfectly under Linux out-of-the-box. Thanks, wolfsite, for your posts!
