Legit, I'm at my wits end. All I want is to disable cloud syncs for Cyberpunk, but seemingly that is impossible. and I have no idea why.
I've tried to submit support ticket, but I can't. The site just keeps reloading on submit (firefox, edge, no adblock... what do?)

what happened previously:

- I start/quit cyberpunk - syncing saves -> can't, because too much (203/200 MB). Fine.
- disable save syncs for the game -> still sync on start/quit cyberpunk.
- disable cloud saves for entire gog galaxy -> still sync saves on start/quit, and complain I have too many files.

my troubleshooting:
- deleted every save game locally
- started cyberpunk via galaxy -> it synced the 200 MB I had on cloud. (still disabled, mind you)
- closed cyberpunk, enabled all syncs in galaxy (app and for the game)
- started cyberpunk -> yea yea, nag nag skip -> deleted every save in-game -> quit -> sync
- restarted galaxy -> some saves re-appeared. deleted them again in-game -> quit game -> sync
- verified from https://www.gog.com/account/cloud-saves/ that they were gone.
- restarted galaxy, and cyberpunk, at least 3 times both.
- disabled cloudsync for cyberpunk, and galaxy
- restarted galaxy
- created "DO NOT SYNC MY FILES TO THE CLOUD.txt" into the save directory, ~8MB of nonsense random data
- restarted galaxy
- started cyberpunk -> syncing. .. you gotta be kidding -> quit cyberpunk.
- went to cyberpunk -> extras -> download cloud saves
- within those files were "DO NOT SYNC MY FILES TO THE CLOUD.txt"

what am I doing wrong? legitly asking, because I'm at my wits end. How, HOW, do I stop cyberpunk from syncing? This is madness.

edit: SOLVED, in gog galaxy -> manage installation for the game -> check your custom executables. Even if you don't use any, CHECK THEM. If any even exist in addition to the regular launcher, it seems to force the save sync

Start Cyberpunk without Galaxy.

randomuser.833: Start Cyberpunk without Galaxy.
and that's what I have been doing to circumvent this. Obviously.

But main point being: shouldn't the gog galaxy respect the setting? Obviously this is a bug. Shouldn't it be fixed?
Dunno what demon settings from hell you have, but just for you I started up
Cyberpunk from Galaxy - no syncing.

wish I knew, I'm honestly at loss. Might have to reinstall galaxy next, and weed out any and all of it's settings out.
It's really annoying and a big part of the reason I haven't played Cyberpunk recently.
They should eliminate or significantly increase the save number cap on that specific game.

Do you have for Cyberpunk in Galaxy set any cutsom executables/arguments like for skipping the launcher for example?

I am not (screenshot in OP shows this) - but there was a custom executable defined (directly starting cyberpunk.exe) , but not used. I removed that for now, will report back if that was the culprit.

This is of course unlikely, but it's worth checking

... aargh, so: it WAS the extra "custom executable", which wasn't even in use by default and they were disabled anyway. Just the mere existence of it cause it.

Wow! I knew the custom arguments cause the games to ignore any settings and run Galaxy with the default options but I never knew they do that even if they haven't been selected.. I learn something new every day! I am glad you found what caused the problem at least!
