Are you sure you didn't buy TDR 2000? It's only free if you get it through the giveaway on the front page. It's still available for purchase during the giveaway, so my guess is that you bought a copy by mistake. Contact Support and I'm sure they'll refund you.

No. I clicked the button on the gog.com homepage. The email from gog even said "free game added to your account".

That's very strange then. I don't see how GOG could charge you for that, given that no payment method is involved when redeeming free games that way. What about on your GOG orders history page, what does that show?

Link for convenience: https://www.gog.com/account/settings/orders
I think there would be a lot of complaints if it had happened to others. I just checked my bank account to be sure and there was no problems.

Thanks for the link. It shows $2.49 each for C1 and C2, and CTDR2000 says "$0.00 FREE". Very weird, indeed. I sent in a support ticket, so hopefully the gog staff can help sort this out.

Sounds more to me like you were double charged for your purchase (rounding error would explain the 1 cent difference). Support should be able to sort this one out fairly quickly. Good luck. :)
Update: I'm not entirely sure what happened, but it seems to have been a banking error. The correct amount of $4.98 is now showing as a pending charge and not $9.97. Whatever the problem was, it seems to have resolved itself.

Awesome. And thanks for updating the situation.

Wells Fargo had a burp with processing during the last few days:

Not sure if that would apply since they're talking about Online Banking but I wanted to mention it.
Thanks the game!

Yeah. Wells Fargo had a server glitch that affected pretty much anyone by processing payments double. My supervisor at work was hit by it.
