Klumpen0815: I missed XIII, Re-Volt and Colin McRae Rally completely and wonder if they ever will be in my library. :(
Damn, I hope they'll come back.
The only one I can remember I missed out on is Second Sight.
If they had just mentioned they were having legal issues I would've bought it full price, I don't need a promo for every game that goes away. I do need to know though.

How ironic, if you had that "Second Sight", you would have known.
As a Descent games fan, I'm sad that they're removed from GOG. I hope that they will return soon.
Well damn. This sucks.

Klumpen0815: GoG without Descent is nearly as bad as GoG without Fallout.
Hopefully this will get resolved faster.
Well, to my understanding the ownership has been transferred to Descendent who are actually actively working on the franchise, I presume those guys will be more than happy to keep the originals on sale.

Unreal Engine 4, multiplatform. I like!
We need those guys on GoG, not only for the old Descents. :)

Agreed. I'll wait until the game is officially released but Descent: Underground seems pretty amazing. I hope the game will find its way onto GOG, along with the original trilogy.

Anyway, everything suggests that a clean transition of the ownership took place, so I expect that we'll get the originals back sooner than later.

Heyooooooooo!
Nice one dude, didn't even see it coming.
this does not bode well for freespace. maybe that's still here because otherwise would boc.

this is likely a cynical attempt to usher everyone to Steam for these games to use the old games to sell the new one as part of packs in the winter sale or at least for the marketing value.

amok: there is an ocean of difference between "can't" and "wont"

If you really want to:
Descent 1 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/273570/
Descent 2 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/273580/
Descent 3 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/273590/
Descent Underground - http://store.steampowered.com/app/360950/

so you can play them still, if you really want to.

amrit9037: Not going to play it on Steam for sure.
You can try the shareware versions here:

Single player is a bit dull ATM. Bots in a single MP level. They do have intentions of making it a lot bigger but that depends on the money they get.

Tarm: Is there a thread I can bookmark that list all the removed games?
avatar
Grargar: Here: http://gogwiki.com/wiki/List_of_games_removed_from_GOG
avatar
Tarm: And or those in risk of being removed?
avatar
Grargar: Nothing concrete. As for assumptions, you could perhaps include The Void and licensed games like Race Driver: GRID. Oh, and possibly the Duke Nukem games.
Thank you. I already have the Duke Nukem games I want and the others aren't very interesting to me but the risk of them being pulled is starting to be a selling argument in itself. :/
That's a shame, but I bet they'll be back.
avatar
Konrad: and we will be doing our best to bring them back.
avatar
Rottencorpsex: Sadly, that's unlikely to happen. I'm still waiting for the Severance BOD. Same promises were made, it's been one year and yet not sign of the game's returning.
Yeah. No money reached the license holders when I bought Severance because I had to track down a used CD-ROM copy. (And, no thanks to shipping costs, I wound up paying several times what a GOG sale would have cost me. Everyone loses.)
