I don't think SONY would give itself the trouble of remaking such a game just for the benefit of some extra cash from PS users. Japanese publishers have finally realized the gold mine which is the PC market.
One year after its launch they'll likely sell a PC version. Overstuffed with Denuvos and all kinds of hardcore DRM. :P

Damn. Now I'll have to make the extra effort of not owning PS5 to not play it.

Loved the game first time around... but... not very interested in another console. God of War II might push me over-the-edge but as of now I don't want another console just to stream tv and play a few games.

Haven't seen any game announcement for the PS5 that made me think 'woah, I need that console!'.
Persona 6 (in maybe 3-4 years) or another good JRPG will probably change my mind.

What’s the backwards compatability like? If they one day did a console which played all the PlayStation games then I would be interested. Not however interested in another dust gatherer on the shelf just to play the one or two exclusives.

The only game announcement that really got me excited, along with the Horizon sequel to a lesser degree. Of course both those games (and most of them in the presentation for that matter) had no release dates or even release year.
At least Demon's Souls is in good hands, Bluepoint aren't Muppets when it comes to their remastering/ramake projects.
