fsbarbero: This is the answer that the user Reczberg#3979 (technical support, Frozen District) gave today in the official channel of House Flipper in Discord in respose another user about GOG delisting.

Reczberg — today at 0:14
It is not temporary, and we're still gathering some information on what we can do, but be sure that we will stay in touch with the GoG players and try to figure something out. :C

Dhonavin: Well that's a lie, they haven't said a fucking thing anywhere. They could just post something HERE where everyone is fucking talking about it lol
You can go to the official channel of House Flipper on Discord and see for yourself (in the Discussions section).

I don't know to what extent Reczberg represents the developer, but that's the only statement I've come to see from anyone at the company. We'll have to wait for them to release a more official statement on the matter, if they do.

neumi5694: More sales perhaps?
Bought the game on gog, now delisting. Meh, no updates anyway, whatever. Oooh, new DLC ... but not here, have to buy it on Steam. Oh looky, it's back on GOG. Should I buy the DLC again? Afer all I prefer GOG.

BreOl72: Makes no sense (to me!).
avatar
fsbarbero: I can't say for sure, but it could be an exclusivity matter with Steam
avatar
BreOl72: That would be an "exclusivity matter" then, exclusively for a DLC?
A DLC for a game that is released already on other stores?
Same as above: makes no sense (to me!)
This is not the first time something like this has happened on GOG before the release of an expansion or DLC. They remove the game from GOG so that people can only find it on Steam, and some time later they add it back (although not always).

It should also be noted that Farm Flipper is not a simple DLC. It can practically be considered a game in itself, although it requires having the main game to play it. In fact, the system requirements have been brutally increased (minimum 12GB RAM, Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, GeForce GTX 1060 3GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB).

Arinielle: Had to check on their Facebook page of all places to see that the devs commented on one post saying that yes, the game is currently delisted but it will be added again before the end of the month as well as the new DLC.

Sounds pretty scummy they wanted to do it this way. No reason is given as to why.
Got a link to that post?

I can confirm that message. I found it in the House Flipper page of Facebook, in their first post. However, I don't know how to get the link to that message. It is a little bit difficult to find, because there is a lot of messages.

Here is a capture of that message, posted three days ago.

Is that person actually aware that the game was delisted on GOG? That sounds like a generic "Yes, we support all platforms the game is published on" response, without necessarily being aware that it's gone. There was a time when someone from EA said that there were no EA games on GOG lol.

Yes, I think so. However, let's wait until the end of the month and see what happens.

To be clear I was refering to this developer's words, not yours. Not calling you a liar :P

However I don't and shouldn't have to join a discord to have an explaination for any of this. That same developer has been on here, they knew it was getting delisted, they could have gave US on GOG a simple explaination... unless it's nefarious like others have gleamed, and it's a push to double dip with "steam exlusivity".

Whatever xD

So wtf bs is this? I have House Flippers on GOG, all DLCs was whislisted, waiting for right time to buy them. So now i can't buy any DLC? I guess i shouldn't buy any games from GOG, just use steam.

You had four days of notice. How long were they on your wishlist before that?
Supposedly right now they're trying to iron out the worst of the bugs in the new DLC that's ended up causing other parts of the game more bugs as well. Since they can't up and update constantly through GOG like you can with Steam, they're seemingly choosing to fix all the worst of it before bringing it back to GOG... from what I can glean from reading updates and such off site.

I hope so. It would be very good news :)

Maybe instead you should stop buying games from that developer and let them know about it.
So an update from the birthday stream they had on the 17th. They're still fixing bugs for the farm DLC and will be coming up with another big update for it ( teaser images showed something to do with space/aliens ).

I saw nobody that was in the stream ( was watching the VOD after the fact ) that was asking anything about when GOG would receive the Farm DLC or it returning at all. ..so if anyone that is paying attention to this and manages to get into any of their streams, it'd be nice to have more representing GOG playerbase so they know there are actually people here concerned.

I noticed that EGS people were also asking when the Farm DLC was coming for them so it isn't just us on PC. Steam and Consoles are getting more attention right now. They say to keep an eye on their Youtube channel for info on the game and House Flipper 2.

A lot of attention on the stream was given to talking about House Flipper 2 and showing off the game so far as well as talking about House Flipper 1 for consoles and how much they were finally getting soon with the other DLCs being brought to them and a much needed overhaul of the base game. ...so looks like that's where their main focuses are right now.

They abandoned GOG
Yes, this was made clear to everyone in (checks thread creation date) March.

No tears or flowers.

Even the post just before mine was hopeful of a return. The link I show is a clear denial of return by developers.
So no, it wasn't clear.
