Hey guys, I did some digging and I found that the new delta force game is being published Tencent. This company has a history of predatory business practices, (basically the EA of China). And what we are seeing here with the removal of the older games of the Delta Force series here on GOG is probably an example of that.

So, what we are possibly seeing here is predatory company wanting to turn a beloved series into a cash cow to milk for all its worth (part of that includes removing older games from sale which will once again render these games as abandonware.) Which now having mentioned it, is going to fuel fan suspicions for the new Delta Force game.

You're spot on from what it seems. The fact they removed black Hawk Down from Steam while remarking the campaign appears to be evidence of what's happening now.
Any updates on why these aren't back yet but are still up on Steam?
This is most likely true. The new Delta Force game has been announced as coming out soon and is hard core multiplayer based. The title is: Delta Force: Hawk Ops The cover pages has the classic DF Triangle in bright green and an operator posed behind it. I found it on Epic Games and STEAM. The Developer: Team Jade, Producer TiMi Studio Group. It is listed as a cross platform FPS, MOBA, Shooter. Claims will be Free to Play. This of course means "In Game Purchases" as with most F2P MOBA games. The thing that amazes me. They also claim it has Single Player. Anyone who believes that and that is does NOT have in game purchases should read all the fine print.

As far as DELISTING the previous Delta Force titles. It was clearly been done here but STEAM still holds their lists of all 7 of the previous titles as available with prices running $4.99 each for the 2 original single player titles, $9.99 each for Land Warrior, Black Hawk Down and Task Force Dagger, with $19.99 each for the two DF: Xtremes.

Either they do not care about the new "Owner" of they worked out a deal to keep the games listed and selling in their store. Since they are also offering the new Delta Force: Hawk Ops for Free then it seems obvious STEAM is also riding the cash cow on these games. IMPO

So, basically, China is taking a page out of Klaus Schwab's playbook of "you will own nothing and be happy"?

In that case, I wouldn't even download it on either PC or console.

Tencent can go eff themselves.
