mixer211: I decided to buy dishonored 2 and dlc yesterday on gog just because they were on sale. I had to install them overnight for like 5 hours. I installed the offline installer bc it seemed to be pretty useful. I woke up and tried to install, only to find out dishonored 2 folder was double the size of the game, and needed the same size another time to install (For a total f about 120gb). I dont know why a game would ever need triple its own size in files. So I pressed install in the gog galaxy thing just to see if it did something. Without asking me or any kind of popup, instantly everything in the entire gog folder was gone. poof. Just like that. Im never using this shitty platform ever again. Wasted time and money for nothing.
What you are posting is kind of weird. I'm not sure why you would try to launch an offline installer from Galaxy.

Galaxy is not involved in offline installers (what they call "backup" installers in the browser page). You just download the thing and double-click on it (for Windows installers anyways).

I like to think that proprietary app stores have yet to wash away everything and that this manner of installing things is not old school (yet).

It's so sad to see you go. You've obviously been here for so long, spending so much money on GOG, and now you are leaving forever. The GOG community will miss you so much, you spam bot!
