Hello, I just bought defcon on the summer sale and its telling me my key is revoked or something?
I can play the demo but I want the full experiance since I did buy the game. Its a shame I wont be able to play it since I work in about an hour was hoping to try it out then leave oh well
Please post fixes or something to help me out and ill read them when I get back! Thanks in advance!

a few more details would be helpful - what exactly do you mean by "key revoked" for a start?

I'm also curious, what is telling you your key is revoked? Is it a message inside the game itself?

Did you write a ticket to the support team?

Totally forgot I can post from my phone so bare witrh me
basically when I go to hit "start game" or "verify game" its saying my key is revoked and I have to play as a demo user
instead of playing with more than 6 people 6 people is max and I cant change my name and maybe other things. I was not able to fiddle witrh it since I had to leave I will post screen shots and others later tonight once I get off of work

IIRC the game is actually made like this.
If you download the demo you actually have the full version of the game with some features locked behind a serial key you have to enter ingame.

Gog cannot change this because the game is built like this by its creators.

Yup. In order to unlock the full version, you'll have to do all this stuff.

As far as I understand it's for multiplayer purposes (same thing with multiwinia : each player must have a different key registered with their game). Most people consider it completely fine, because let's be honest, when you have drm-free installers with LAN game modes, you know people are more likely to be lazy than perfectly respectful of developer's will.

It's no different from any other game with DRM. GOG may not be able to change it, but the developers could. The game shouldn't be here if its DRM is still active...

The solution would be to package it in a 'pre-activated' form. Maybe that's what GOG tried to do, but it would appear that they've failed.

Am I the only person who thinks this is a big problem?

I have this issue to actually... I just tried mine and says key is revoked, I know this game has DRM on it I think this is the only game on GOG that you need to activate it on the servers for it to work and if you cant you get stuck with the demo version of the game... I stop playing this game YEARS ago due to this and was never fixed, I might just DL A crack to fix this fucking issue once and for all....
