I'm on Superior, and like you we typically don't get anywhere near 40 inches until late December/early January at which point it becomes a 24/7 whiteout. This November has been nuts.

when I was younger we'd get snow on a constant basis but not as much in one go. also we don't get crazy summer lightning storms like we use to. like I said though, every year is different. example being last 2 years the summer heat was terrible but then it would get cold as hell during October and stay that way until april. this year summer was more temperate and its dropped below freezing only a few times.

Then you, good sir or madam, might be one of the relative few who would enjoy "The Season's Upon Us" by Dropkick Murphys. If you choose to look it up on YouTube, be sure to choose the one with the actual video (it's the first in the list of search results for me, though your results may vary). That video is a work of art all on its own.
