If they didn't send tons of unwanted promotional 'discount codes' all the time i'd agree.

But pretty much the only thing i do is delete said emails, so it's more a waste of my time.

Uncheck the "Promotions and hot deals" checkbox in the Subscriptions settings.

I still maintain having to do that is a fair trade off for getting a free game.
