Greetings.

My old main PC finally refused to start, got bored, had a couple beers because it's damn hot in my apartment and sunny outside, still bored, looked a bit at my aquariums, checked my Warhammer 40,000 armies wishing I had more people to play with (They're gone for the weekend.), boredness still there, noticed the GOG Galaxy icon I haven't clicked for what feels like ages and YAY I got interesting stuff to do!

Read the first couple pages of the general forum. Think I had read 90% of the topics before. Felt like I never left from here. Got bored again. Created a threAD.

Accidentally pressed Caps Lock but it broke a bit of my boredom streak so it stays.

Hey friend. :)

It does indeed suck when your PC(main or no) dies.....especially when you haven't made a backup in ages. All those pictures/movie clips/game saves/"mature" things lost to a fickle bit of fate can be a heavy load for us tech-minded and dependent people to live with, but we march on somehow.

As for the forums: WHOA. You really read 90% of every thread ever posted here? In what timeframe? Since GOG began? For a year or two? (If EVER, then my hat is off to you for your dedication) As for myself, I haven't read many threads beyond what piqued/piques my interest(some game-specific/OS specific stuff, latest events IRL stuff, various topics of interest, etc).

P.S. Don't worry about the caps lock thing....didn't YOU Know IT's CRuIse CONTrol for CoOl? ;)

Yo. :)

Well I tend to see it as a fresh start. Also most of the HD:s can usually be salvaged. :)

Nope not the threads. What the topics are about though. Those General Forum pages felt like they were taken out of time. Yeah I should have said General Forum.

It might be a fresh start, but losing some stuff(that which can't be easily migrated, like game installs being tied to a particular directory structure/OS structure, and any files which get corrupted) & having to reinstall alot of games/OS/etc can be a pain. :\

And that's still impressive with the forum topic reading, btw.
Consider this, Tarm: If we had never existed, would the planet have an intelligent species like us to take our place?

Would they destroy the planet as we have, or would they protect it as we should?

Just a thought for you on your boring day.

Most probably given the global catastrophes our world have had. That creates the need for adapthability and cut throat competition. Also they still find new species in our evolutionary tree.

Almost certainly within the same evolutionary time we humans have had. We're on top of this world because we're the top predator. We consume in every way because that is in our DNA. You would need both brains and brawns to accomplish that.

Try something a bit more difficult next time. :P

Edit: Back at you with the great evening wish!
