Grargar: I'm sure that H.R. Giger's estate which demanded a lot of money for commercial distribution would change their opinions when GOG would ask them and say "Yes, we're totally going to offer the game for free to a
commercial store!"
Check one of my previous replies. I've already address that. But I get what you mean and yeah, it's a long shot...but if no one is willing to even give it a try we would never know for sure, you know?
That's why I'm currently trying to contact someone at the
Internet Archive about this whole thing. Maybe you're right. Maybe they won't give permission to a
commercial store, even if it's for free. I don't think that has anything to do with it tbh. But if that's true then maybe they will to a
NPO? *fingers crossed* ;)
I won't be holding my breath to ever seeing it here though that's for sure. And it's a shame that GOG, having all these massive resources at their disposal, is not even trying.
I guess we need to thank
Blizzard and not GOG for having Diablo here now, since it was (probably)
their decision to take all their classics out of
Battle.net what drove Diablo into GOG and not the other way around.
Oh, well...small victories are better than no victories at all I guess.
