Hey,
So I was thinking of re downloading daggerfall and I remembered that to play it in dosbox, you have to type in a butt load of commands... and then I also thought about how in other games that one buys on gog that also use dosbox, such as Ultima 7, the gog team has created a Dosbox config file that runs and launches the game by typing in all of the commands for you. Is there a way for me to create one of these on my own for daggerfall? Thanks for any help that you guys can give me. I'm running windows 8.1 if this is important to the creation of the file.

If you use Windows, the easiest way to install Arena is by using [url=http://wiwiki.wiwiland.net/index.php?title=Arena_:_ArenaSetup_EN]ArenaSetup[/url]. It comes with already preconfigured Dosbox setup and it's easy to install.

Someone already posted this before, if I remember right. So if you search the forum you might find more info.

You're fine! I tried to get into arena, but no mouse looking and all... still better than skyrim :P

One thing to note about the Daggerfallsetup.exe: Should you experience some oddities, particularly sluggish movement when strafing or walking backwards, that means the game runs too fast. It's a mistake in the configuration that may or may not still exist in this package.
To correct it, go to the installation folder and look for a file called "DosBox.conf". Open it with a text editor and change the "cycles=max" entry to "cycles=fixed 50000". Then, the game should work again.
