Hey. I have a problem with physical edition of Cyberpunk 2077. I bought it in a preorder and the site through which i purchased it shows that it's going to be delivered on September the 18th. I am wondering, is it a mistake on CD Projekt's part, or will it be really delivered to me on old release date?

What do you think

It's not a mistake, it's an estimate. If a meteor kills the entire CDPR staff, will you call them liars and crooks for not delivering the game at all.
You'll get the game when it's ready to ship, whenever that is.

Why are you downvoting me?

I asked a question in good faith

but have you ever got a preordered game before release
No, you'll get it at the old date, it's a reward for all your great threads in the Gog forum.

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to play on the old release date even if you somehow get the disk and its not CD Projekt's mistake that the site you purchased it from still says the old release date. It means that site's admins haven't updated the date yet on your site's game page.

Should probably double check on that site since you bought it from there rather than here.
The anticipation for Cyberpunk is pretty intense sometimes. But it really is better to let CDPR take their time with it. Warcraft 3 Reforged and the PC port of Arkham Knight were rushed, and look at how those turned out. They're both great games, but they have a stigma that they would never be able to shake. First impressions matter; and if that first impression is a game full of bugs and other issues, then all the time and effort that was put in to development would go down the drain.

I don't remember downvoting you here; what makes you think I did?

If you receive a physical copy of a game that means it's been released.

Mate, just because someone answered you doesn't mean they were the person who down-repped you. There are some nasty little people here who love to down-vote anyone they find differently opinioned or who bore them. It stinks, but we've all been downvoted one time or another by people like that. And these people aren't likely to be the ones interested in actually answering your questions here.

If you're curious why, I'd hazard a guess that some here are somehow annoyed that you're flooding the General Discussion forum with many different thread questions right now. I personally don't mind your questions, but possibly if you slowed down just a bit and concentrated on one thread at a time and you know, talk a bit more with those who answer your threads, maybe they'll understand you're just excited to be here.

Just thought I'd clear that up for you. As for your question, Cyberpunk is still in development and depending on circumstances (some developers might even be impacted by good old COVID directly or indirectly) the final release date is going to be difficult to set solid in stone.

You might want to keep in mind this though if you're getting frustrated about delays: Do you want the game in a properly finished state but late? Or rushed and buggy but on time? Because there is rarely a middle ground any more with games (if there ever was).
There are a lot very helpful people on these forums and I guess its a bit like everything in life, you take the good with the bad. I also find through getting older that if people are acting like tools then I tend to feel sorry for them. If they get a kick out of being a muppet to others then they can't have much going for them in their life.

With that being said, and sorry to jump on the thread but I already have the digital version pre-ordered. If I order the physical release will I get the game on dvds or is it likely to be a code in the box? If I get the dvds then I will pre-order a second time for my physical collection!

Cheers!

No Man's Sky disagrees.
