I welcome and enjoy fair competition but looking at the 15k+ entries seeing relatively old accounts with the overwhelming majority showing Rep: 1 makes me wonder, is this really legit individual GOG users gathering all at once posting in the forums their FIRST TIME just for this occasion, or plain script abusers...? :/
Who cares? It's Gog's problem not anyone else's and tbh I am sick of this bot rubbish/assumption.
Well they (GOG) did put the news around the media channels, so i would not be surprised in these hard economic times if lots of new arrivals at GOG are here just because of the competition! The more the merrier :)

Stuff like this etc:

most gOg users never use the forums, regular forum users are just a small minoriy
It will be my first post too!

Considering that GOG's intention in the first place was to gather attention to the store and make people create accounts, I guess their strategy clearly worked.
If some of these "new users" decide to stop for a moment and grab a couple of the free games in the store and try them, I suspect it'll be the first DRM-free experience for plenty of them.
It's not like GOG cares about regular user member anyway. They just see them as additional nuisance or voluntary unpaid customer service.
Yeah, can seem frustrating - but at that the end of the day it's a competition to get interest in GOG. 15k+ even if they're new people who just come to sign up and a few end up spending a few dollars - then sweet. Purpose served.

...besides...most of those entries are...lets just say unless GOG is actually doing a random draw...are not going to win any creativity contests.
