So manic shootemup Crimzon Clover: World Explosion has been out for several days now, and they even delisted World Ignition over on Steam simply because Explosion contains all the modes in Ignition and then some. So when will GOG get their version of the new game?
The question is not when, but if. The game's publisher, Degica, hasn't released a single game here ever since the release of World Ignition (2014). In addition, the game has been discounted a whooping two times ever since 2016. If the game comes here, it might take a while.

Considering GOG rejected Degica's library of Cave and Taito games, I wouldn't even blame Degica for never releasing anything here again even if given the go ahead.

Bad blood between GOG and Degica wouldn't be out of the question. Getting rejected due to the fact that apparently Cave games are "relatively unknown outside in Japan" according to GOG. It is frankly sad that Degica themselves put Mushihimesama on the wishlist and between that and how well it did on Steam, GOG still couldn't give two shits. Not like the genre is favored here unless Raiden is in the title... because that is still somehow relevant to GOG. Just shows how out of touch they are concerning the genre as a whole, passing up some of the best from Cave.
Cave shooters are some of the best to ever exist. Can't say how popular they are but I'd definitely snatch 'em up if they ever showed up here. If they don't require one of those goofy PC controllers, that'd be a bonus. I have an arcade control panel I'd prefer to use.
