I don't really know much about this game and I'm not sure I care, but I'm just very curious, why has it been listed as "Upcoming" and "Coming Soon" for at least a year and a half? That seems like a pretty loose definition of "Soon".

Still in Early Access on Steam, might be waiting for full release.

Well, they could "upgrade" it to early access here too, since they now do that...

They could yeah. Maybe they're not sure enough about this one to offer it here though.

Or perhaps the publisher isn't interested enough to do it. Who knows.
Then it really shouldn't be listed if they have no idea whether they'll ever even have it.
Well, with a name like Crawl, what did you expect?

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Contacted Powerhoof about that just a while ago. They said that the game is almost done (they are currently working on the third boss), so they'll wait until full release.

Btw, the game is awesome, one of the bets local co-op games I have ever played. Played it on the 2014 GOG party during Gamescom for the first time - it was blast, pretty much everyone loved it back then.

If you don't have the patience you can get a DRM free version via Humble Store or directly on the Powerhoof website. It's currently on sale 20% off.

Why?
If they have a deal to release it when it's done I'm not sure it matters when it's actually done.
They know they'll get it so they put it there.

Well, it's Gog's infamous Soon, aka Soon™.
It varies from days, to eternity. +_+

It's probably in denichement. :P
Early access ....

Crawl
http://store.steampowered.com/app/293780/

i think its hyped, (Exaggerated expectations created by over-promising or over-advertising hype)
i read about Crawl coming soon 1.5 years ago already in some (paper) magazines
Its taking way too long for a game type of which dozens or maybe even more are already been released in the past years.

I think many devs/publisher forget that waiting too long can 'spoil' a release.
Anyways , i read too many times the " we want to add as much ...
want to make the game feel as complete as ...
and more stuff like that

I remember reading something about having a Gabe boss or monster in side the crawl game?
It takes to long, so the expectations of the game will rise and when its finally released, it might be a bummer,

I been reading game magazines since the AMIGA, and lateron PC magazines so thats about 35 years of reading magazines, yup paper magazines, thats before internet and socialmedia 'took over' Europe, and all things have to be digital and paper versions are abandoned.

maybe...

The sad thing is they can use and add anything, its pixel style like c64 era, and most gamers dont know that era,
i guess the bulk of the steam users (13 tot 18 years) dont even know c64 or atari 2600 without using Google :D
so they will buy anything.

So the devs can 'grab ideas and monsters and all kinds of things' that were done in the 70s, cause chances are very small the average gamer will notice that (except for me i been around since atari 2600 and i have seen a lot.)
I see too many games like crawl using old stuf that was used in c64 games or atari 2600 games... the difernce is more frames and more fluent animation.

drealmer7: coming at a crawl
I would suggest using more lube.

When it doubt, always lube up, always.
