F1ach: I've never played that one, I might give the remaster a shot after I finish 3.

dtgreene: I'm thinking of maybe playing the "The Original Classic" version, actually, and maybe using a hex editor to test some things.
It was never a game that appealed to me visually, my nearest similar vintage game was Fallout Tactics, but I would only be playing the remaster out of curiosity tbh.
Alien/Zombie Shooter 1/2

dtgreene: Just looking for game recommendations, though I do have a few constraints:
* The game must be one that I have already played before. (I'm not looking for something new.)
* I must be able to easily acquire and play the game if I don't already have it.
* The game must not be one I've been vocal about disliking. (So no Baldur's Gate 1/2, Ultima 7, or Final Fantasy 7, for example.)

So, any suggestions?
So I don't pay overly much attention to your library of games or your vocal dsilikes but from previous times I've responded to you I'll go with this spread of options.

Romancing SaGa III
Dragon Quest IX
Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure
Bloodstained
Ravenloft Stone Prophet

It happens that I've played two of them, but don't really feel like DQ9 or Gurumin at the moment.

(Interesting note: I actually have *two* copies of DQ9, one in Japanese (the one I've played) and one in English. Perhaps I'll play the English version if I do decide to replay it. Of course, there's the issue of how to get the wi-fi quests, which can't be obtained through wi-fi anymore, and connecting to another copy of the game for this purpose doesn't work cross region.

(It's looking like Wasteland 1 will be the game I replay.)
Dragon Quest VI.
FFIV Complete collection on PSP.
Is this a "guess the game" post in disguise?

How should we even be able to recommend a game to you that you have already played? Will you post a complete list of all games you have played so far?
I would suggest playing one of these games:

Baldurʼs Gate
Baldurʼs Gate Ⅱ
Ultima Ⅶ
Final Fantasy Ⅶ

Or Alpha Centauri of course.

The first 4 of those games are games I've tried in the past and didn't like, so they're out. (Earlier Ultima or Final Fantasy games could work, but note that I've recently played the three FF games whose original releases were Japan only.)

Alpha Centauri is outside of my usual genres, so I don't think I'll be playing that either.

Wasteland 1. I haven't tried it personally but I've heard good things. May have to try it for myself some year.

With DQ IX there's currently a way to connect to the DQVC Wi-fi server by changing the primary DNS address on your DS/3DS connection. Though because the game uses an out dated internet security method it may be best to create a temporary Hotspot using your phone as opposed to changing the security on your main internet connection. The only other method I'm aware of enabling the online content requires getting access to your save and using a program to manipulate the save data.

I have to admit that I'm surprised that you haven't played Romancing SaGa III. I thought you had mentioned SaGa style game mechanics in other threads. Perhaps it was SaGa Frontier? In any case, Romancing SaGa III is one of my favorite SaGa games along with the remake of Romancing SaGa (PS2) and I would highly recommend them to anyone who likes that unique style of game play.

Don't know if you have any of these:

Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection One, Two & Three

I've always had fun with those, if you don't mind the outdated graphics, sounds, etc.

Hey, there is one non-troll suggestion in this list, that happens to be the best video games from all human history ;)
