I last saw it on Steam, but forgot the title and can't find it for the life of me. Its a turn based strategy-rpg. It has a hexagonal over world for the strategy part. It switches to a side-view turn based system for battles. The characters are static images, kind of like paper cut outs.

Its very similar in design and appearance to Monster's Den: Godfall. The graphics are 2D. Its a one word title. I know its not much to go on, but its an indie game so the graphics are minimalist, so that should rule out any 3D titles. The theme is fantasy, heavily based on Russian/Slavic mythology I believe. If anyone thinks they know what it is I would be grateful, thanks.

Its not Dead in Vinland or Thea the Awakening, which are similarly themed.

Any of the "Dominions" games?

Or maybe "Eador"?

Might it be Battle Brothers? The title's not a single word (though it's still pretty short and "punchy"); otherwise, I'd say it fits the bill.
No, unfortunately its not them, close though.
How old is that game?
Maybe Worshippers (link)?
