You know it used to be only Jewish people that got corporatized but it later became preferential for those with concern over hygiene.

In some cultures they don't corporatize you until you are in your teens! :O OUCH! NO THANKS!

Whilst I do see that GOG will likely loose sales from customers who would be willing to buy the same game twice, I think the main idea is to lure people over from steam and thus gain a larger customer base.

Bingo. They're thinking about the long term.

Sure GOG has probably become more "corporatized", and they're probably more "about the money" than they were originally. (GOG was never not about making money at all, obviously; the focus has just changed from old games to old games + new games.) You personally need to figure out where you draw the line at what you'll accept. For some people, they stopped supporting GOG when GOG dropped flat pricing. I think most people draw the line at DRM (like forcing the use of the Galaxy client).
