It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Suggestion to GOG: Often, starting a new topic is iffy; processing goes on for sometimes hours. It'd be really handy if one could copy the text so as to save it to "notebook" (or whatever) so if one needs to redo it later, the whole thing doesn't have to be retyped. I'd bet this wouldn't be very difficult to do either. What do you say?
What is your OS and web browser?
Copy and paste in forum is not a problem here.
If "processing is going on for [too long]" when you hit "Post my message", you can be pretty confident that it's caused by a syntax error, especially if you've quoted and particularly edited those quotes. It's happened to me where I didn't notice a stray [ quote ] or [ / quote ]. This is assuming the forum is behaving normally otherwise. Also, as has been said, copy/pasting has never been an issue -- it's a text window.

Edit: aaaaand I just noticed you mentioned starting a new topic. Nothing to see here. Move along, please.

I appreciated the info :) I have been on GoG for years but never really active in the forums until recently, so I was kind of wondering why when I clicked on "Post my message" it would spin and spin. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

Um, you CAN copy and paste your post to a text doc. CTRL-A, CTRL-C, CTRL-V

Bing bang boom done.

It sounds like you're experiencing some form of this recent bug:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_break_thread_20/post1158

I've encountered it a few times during the last week or so although not without the new thread appearing in the forum afterwards (I just ignore the never-ending processing message, close the window and refresh the page).

I've discovered that just going to another part of thr forum and returning does it - it still spins but the new topic is there and complete.

CNTRL A would work in the case I mentioned but not later as it highlites everything. But thanks - I got so used to right clicking to copy that I forgot about the old fashioned way of doing it and it works as well as ever! What I did was highlighted with the mouse, CNTRL C then CNTRL V. I never would have thought to try that so, again, thanks.
