What's up pussycat?

Don't you like making other people listen to your music? They have to pretend to like it, and it's especially fun if you pick one of those ten-hour versions you can find on YouTube. Well, we're letting you do that to us.

We want you to help us pick our theme song, something that really gives off the GOG.com vibe. Then, we're going to play it for one full workday, on repeat, continuously. We're letting you put our whole office at your mercy.

How exactly can you join in on this looped madness?

It's simple. Pick a song that you think is the perfect theme song for GOG.com. Post a link to it along with the title and artist, and we will pick the one that will be used to delight our entire Warsaw office. We'll make sure to document the fateful day somehow and share it with the world - so stay tuned after the contest ends for some quality entertainment!

THE GRAND PRIZE:
We loved how many of you participated in our previous contest, "Show off your (old) gear, win shiny new (ROCCAT) gear!", which is why we're teaming up with the good folks from ROCCAT once again - this time to bring you their newest headset to hit the market: the ROCCAT Kave.
How's that for a prize? ;) The winner will also get a small avalanche of GOG.com game codes to additionally celebrate their victory.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
While we'll only be able to play one song on a nearly eternal, 10-hour loop, there'll surely be more than one good suggestion - that's why every hour we'll take a short break to feature one other song. Nine honorable mentions will be awarded and their songs added to our playlist of doom.

THE RULES:

- You can only post one entry per person. If you post more, only the first one will be counted.
- You may not edit your post.
- If many people pick the winning song, we'll pick the headset winner at random (but game codes will be awarded to the others as well!)

Post your entry in the comments below before the deadline - you have a week, until April 13th, at 12:59 PM GMT. We aim to judge your entries and pick winners by the following Monday - we'll announce them in the contest forum thread and via PM to the winners themselves.

The first movement of Shostakovich's 7th Symphony?

My first and second choices were already taken. :)
I can only think of a few that I would be willing to listen all day, looping, so here you go. Presto -about 9:40 in- gives me massive goosebumps.

Because big chunk of GOG.com is about games that are no longer young (but they are still beautiful) - Lana del Rey is my pick.
Definitely gotta go with; Bob Seger - Old Time Rock And Roll

Darude - Sandstorm

Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber (the version from the Homeworld soundtrack).

One of my favorite tracks from a game soundtrack!

Here! A good, old, unique, one of a kind song, upgraded and more hyped than ever!

The tetris Type A, or Korobeiniki, a Russian folklore song, from Soviet Russia, with much love!
Remix - Super Smash Bros Brawl
Remixer - Yoko Shimomura

Real author is... Unknown (?) and most certainly, dead (?).

Tetris is already a SYNONYM with good old gaming. It could fit perfectly, like a glove. And maybe get it here on sales, too? It is in the wishlist already, as long as i can remember well...

GOG unites us!!

Enter Shikari - ...Meltdown
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYh4MdGW7qI

F**k all borders and f**k all boundaries
F**k all flags and f**k nationalities.

It's just distance that separates us!!!
Been looking through all the posts and found some really good bands and artists, such as Megadeth, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Vangelis. Glad that GOGers have brought them here.

Some of game soundtracks are also great. Listening to "Fallout's" is an evocative experience.

OK, let's play [and have some...any?...mercy for GOG ;)]
[If You do not want to read all these words just go down to the end of the post; there is my vote]

Personally, 've been thinking of something from "Gone Girl" soundtrack by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross. "Procedural" is such a great composition - with many layers of sound, with that "digital" feeling, yet organic and considered as "process-is-being-executed" soundtrack.
On the other hand a vision of a ten hour loop of "Consumation" [taken from the longplay above] would be a killer for GOG staff. Tempting... ;)

Or maybe "Warszawa" ["Warsaw"] by David Bowie & Brian Eno - a wonderfull impression of the city detroyed and imprisoned, still willing to grow stronger and free... to reach greatness [and notice, Dear Reader, that I am from Łódź ;) Polish readers know what I'm talking about - these cities rather don't like each other. Maybe it's time to change it ;)]

Hans Zimmer has created great compositions, e.g. taken from "Inception" or "Interstellar" soundtracks which could describe GOG without using a single word.

Well...that's the problem, actually.
SONG HAS LYRICS.

Finally, I took a decision - my vote goes to "The Perfect Drug" by Nine Inch Nails - taken from "Lost Highway" soundtrack.

Complexity of this song is outstanding when thinking of "catchy as hell" tunes.
The lyrics are appropriate ;););)

P.S. As a matter of fact, I don't believe that all of GOGWorkers can stand this tune being played for ten hours... But I believe some of them will be delighted ;)
My suggestion is: One Man and his Droid - C64 music by Rob Hubbard.

I think the best song that describes GOG is Windfall by TheFatRat. It starts quirky and fun, which mirrors the design and over site of GOG. Then, the bass drops are very epic and hardcore like the site.
Post Modern Jukebox ft Puddles the Clown
Royals

When I browse GOG I can only think on the great OST from Risk Of Rain by Chris Christodoulou .

The whole soundtrack is worth the site, if I have to choose just one my pic will be dew-point

Apparently I cant post yet links, but you can find it easily on youtube, I'm letting the ling broken without rhe : between http and the // in case some mod is kind to fix it.
