Hello,

i'm a puzzled about the language support of offline installers from Gog Galaxy.

Let me use the Batman Arkham series as an example:

When i use Galaxy client to download "Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition" it shows "english" as the only option.

But when i go to the store site for the game there are :

English
Deutsch
español
français
italiano

in full audio and text available.

So i assume there are language files are in the 7.76 GB.
But the installer language itself is written in english?
I have AA installed via Galaxy and can confirm it installs all the language files: they're in the BmGame/Localization subfolder.
Hello,

It should say "Multilanguage" but doesn't. If the store lists multiple languages but the offline installer can only be downloaded in "English" then you can switch languages in-game. If on the other hand you can download offline installers in a specific language, then that's the only one you'll get in the game.

As for the installers themselves, you can select your preferred language before beginning the setup process. The list of available languages is unrelated to the list of languages supported by the game. Though older installers don't have as many languages as more recently packed ones, all of them should have German available.

It depends on the game. Some games have separate installers for every language In that case you must choose the correct installer to download on the download page of your library. See picture 1.

Some games have multilanguage installers. You can recognize them by seeing that only English installers are available to download even though the game card says that more languages are available.

However, multilanguage installers can also come in two flavours. Some install all languages and you can switch the language in game at any time. Some install only one language and you have to choose when installing which language you want. You don't have control over which type of installer you get, it depends how the devs want to package their game.

To select the language when installing you need to start the installer and click the options button (or 'Optionen' in German) and then select your language of choice in the options menu. See picture 2 and 3. If you can't choose the game language there and you are sure you have a multilanguage installer then it will install all languages.

Selecting the installer language like Ice_Mage showed you is NOT enough, that only switches the language in which the installer communicates with you.

as much as i know, gog doesn't support offline installers at all. if you're lucky you may get shitty support for galaxy. best solution is to buy games elsewhere, aside from very rare exceptions
...and there are some casese, where you have to use a language setup exe in the install folder.

Does not seem to be true for Call of Juarez Bound in Blood. It only offers an English offline installer despite having separate language patches that downloaded through Galaxy.

Take a look at the screenshots I've uploaded.

Ok, I downloaded the only offline installer (3GB English) for Call of Juarez Bound in Blood and opened the launcher to find all the languages included there.
