snowkatt: well different strokes and all that
i generally only care about the games everything extra is just extra but i dont care much for them
They're not priority for me. But it feels good when I see them. It depends on games too. For example, Banished has no goodies and it's not important for me. But the lack of goodies in Metro Redux annoys me. Because I want some Metro Redux wallpapers and avatars.

tinyE: I have a Lara Croft statue that game with my copy of TLR. Does that count as an extra? What about my Pod Racer schematics? My NWN map cloth?
They're real treasures. Someday they will make you wealthy. So keep watching them.
they do make goodies but goodies = paid dlc or special edition or xyz edition or pre order bonus , so its not free in most cases , and in digital versions i haven't had any interest in the goodies other than the soundtracks
If you ask nicely and send $50, I'll give you a signed copy of my game in paper format.

Some developers/publishers still release such content as free, but I agree most of them want $ for those stuff.

Only when your game goes on sale. 100% discounted.
Yeah, I was seen that more and more games makes you pay an upgrade price for soundtracks, novels, comic books, ecc.

I can understand a small increase of price for comic books etc., but for soundtrack and other in-games contents?

Somehow the price for the "deluxe" edition is higher than other full games, without adding any real in-game contents.

Not nice.

You're right. Many of those deluxe edition upgrades are just soundtrack + artbook. IMO, they're overpriced.
