Looks good, although I was expecting a RPG ^_^
I can't tell if the games from this dev are actually good games, or alternatively, if they are just made as jokes, and no one expects them to be good games? Does anyone know the answer to that?

I like the music in the trailer.
While I like the idea of comedic RPGs and I was a fan of the Bard's Tale, I have to share Breja's apprehension, the 'full of pop culture references' thing just makes me want to back away from the store page.

Few things make a game age as well as milk as current events do.

The police wolves in the trailer did amuse me though.

Hadn't even watched the trailers when I posted the first comment. They don't give me much hope in terms of controls, seems quite... messy. Which may even be on purpose.

As for references, depends. If they're to current events, yeah, it does age as well as milk, but LotR references in fantasy will probably be timeless. And sometimes others may work as well, or at least not bother, see Driftmoon for an example.

Yeah, referencing classic works of fiction that have become so ingrained or recognised all across the world, the kind of things that even people who have never read the books or watched the movies still often absorb some of via cultural osmosis lends them a timelessness.

Sometimes, but very, very rarely, modern stuff can work. The original Airplane is still the perfect example of contemporary references being done right, you don't even need to know any of them to still enjoy the movie in totality, as the references are woven into the story organically to the point noticing them as a reference is just a bonus for anyone who knows.
