It looks like they got rid of his oversized backpack...
I may be in the minority, but I actually liked that backpack. Carrying all the junk was more believable that way.
"Soon" in this case seem to be sometime 2025...
Cool anyway I guess :)
Unlike the first game where you had to actually use your brain for once it reads like yet another run-of-the-mill RE clone, I hope there's more variety to the gameplay than just endless fights and a useless inventory management simulator… Even so, being a collector means that I will get the game eventually, at a deep-deep discount!

Hope I'm proven wrong though, as I get older, my brain craves variety over mindless twitch-gaming, and useless cheap jump scares!

Yeah...

... I'm interested in a The Sinking City sequel...

... but...

... yet again this trailer is a crazy quilt of weird but tells me NOTHING about the story...

... or even the uniqueness of the setting.

Is this Resident Evil? The Evil Within? Or any of a "million" other horror games?

At least there aren't any multiple trailers as most time games with too many preview videos are compensating for mediocre-to-shitty gameplay, so they bombard you with tons of trailers in order to make the game seem exciting…

I'll take creepy, psychological horror over anything that relies too heavily on jump scares, I'm not as cardiovascular fit as I used to be, thanks to my hypertension… :^P

Me not like use brain. Me like boom boom. Big guns.
Trailer looks cool (though it doesn't say much about the story or anything, as expected). Still haven't gotten around to actually playing the first game. Hopefully I will some time this year. But yeah, also already hoping that part 2 won't be just another generic third-person shooter with some 'horror' elements. There's so much more potential in (cosmic) horror, seriously.

Well, my issue is solely the trailer. IMO it just doesn't communicate anything other than "this is a trippy, creepy game." Now, I understand an announcement trailer usually doesn't go deep into elements, but I can't tell you who the main character is, what the basis of the "investigation" is about, where this takes place, when it takes place (WWI?), etc. All I can say is some weird stuff happened (was it even exciting?) without any seeming connection or context between the "stuff," and then the trailer ended.

Might be enough for some, but for me it was... "What did I just watch?"

IMO even the Sherlock Holmes Year One announcement trailer was better... and that wasn't great. But we at least learned this was a young Sherlock, he has a friend, they're in a place that looks Mediterranean, and the story looked to revolve around the death of Sherlock's Mother. Far more than we learned here.

LOL, exactly, while shadow warrior 2 didn't tax my brain much, the third entry was a bust as everything that made the second great was tossed for twitch fans, no disrespect to twitch gamers as a lot of us started out as such, but with that game's specific franchise, it was a downgrade!

I pretty much agree with this, as an ignorant amount of cutscenes fills most JRPG trailers, with no gameplay shown whatsoever, I wish they would at least fire up the bloody game and screencap the gameplay at the very least, oh, and I rarely watch trailers, one, because I have to keep switching YT accounts, so I don't fuck up my carefully curated feed, and two, many asshole marketing dept idiots often include major spoilers with film and game trailers.

It's why I used to watch an average of 25 seconds, which is all I need to tell if a film/game is shit!

Still, I'm going to keep my eyes on the reviews, so hopefully the game won't suck!

Yeah, me too, as that's what I'm afraid of...

Neat
Interesting!
Some of those screenshots look like Alan Wake and In Sound Mind.

Looks like a backpack to me, making me believe it's the same as in its predecessor: starter outfit with and without the backpack.
