Interested, but waiting to see how the multiplayer is implemented. Will we have LAN?
I absolutely loved the very first Stronghold, and thought Crusader was okay but mercs and the associated gold-spam economy was way overemphasized. Couldn't get into the sequels.

Will wait for reviews but this seems like it's got a lot more Stronghold 1 DNA than most of their other offerings. Cautiously optimistic.
Graphics look worse than Stronghold 1, lol!

mqstout: Glad to see them moving beyond that "MMO RTS" concept they tried. Always happy to see MMOs tank.

Stronghold 3 never came here. I had heard it wasn't very good.

EDIT: I guess 2 never came here either. Or it was, I never got it, and it was removed. I remember it being slightly RPG-esque when I played a copy.
You didn't miss much. After Stronghold Crusader the Stronghold series wen't downhill.

They removed the whole morale system. So your citizens/workers became mindless zombies and you didn't need to balance resource production with citizen morale anymore.

Even though its been 20 years since Stronghold 1 the maps have become smaller and smaller. It just as if Firefly has been stuck in time and hasn't progressed anywhere.

Will see how this game will be but its not looking very promising.
The first game is still one of my favorites. Then the third game burned my hopes for the series to a sad little briquette. We will see how this one will turn out. But it looks like a casual mobile game. Before I don't know how deep, difficult and extensive it will be, I better be on the watch.

I whish you luck with the release though.
Still waiting on Stronghold 2 and Legends! Come on FireFly and GOG!
