Prepare for a unique mix of visual novel, interactive fiction, and adventure – Still Joking is coming soon to GOG and its DEMO is available to play right now!

Reflections always do the exact same thing we do. They are forced to repeat all the morning routines, all the self-affirmations and funny faces, and sometimes even the death of their prototype. So what happens after? How do they deal with it?

You’ll play as Iris, a reflection of the famous actress murdered in front of the mirror. Torn away from usual life, you’re at a turning point where decisions must be made, and they will shape you. Embrace the sudden journey through the void accompanied by your inner voice and many other distinct characters.
Good ol' TEST DEVELOPER / TEST PUBLISHER. They're SO PROLIFIC a pair. So many titles.
Looks and sounds great, will definitely give the demo a go today.
I hope they really mean it with multiple endings, not just two endings with little branching

I know what you mean, we are making "Still Joking" because we believe there should be more games with genuine branching paths, instead of simply providing a "choose one of two endings" option towards the conclusion.

Let`s take as an example the "detective" part of the story:
- You can solve it on your own or with assistance. ( with different paths )
- You can "almost" solve it ( and get a different set of consequences )
- You can ignore it
- You can ignore it, but befriend a key character and avoid most of the consequences ( but it definitely will affect said character )
[some options missing here to avoid heavy spilers]

And you can play the demo, and make different choices in different playthroughs to check how branching really works in "Still Joking".

PS
One time, we attempted to visualize choices and consequences without nesting, but it failed beautifully.

For a visual novel the space requirements are bigger than I'd expect.

Thank you for the reassurance. At least I now know you make good on that promise.
Now I hope the writing is up to par.

Unfortunately, 4k art requires a lot of space. We are currently addressing this matter but with a priority on ensuring image quality, so it will be a 10-15% decrease on a release.

Thank you for the explanation. I had no idea the resolution of the art would increase the space size that much. Hopefully a happy medium can be found without having to reduce the image quality.
