Finally there is a DLC for Stellaris :-)
I usually wait until Stellaris expansions are available at a good discount, but this one is really tempting to get early.

It especially sounds very ambitious compared to the other expansions we got in the last years.

We are the Borg of Paradox. Open your wallets and surrender your money to us. It will be assimilated and added to our own wallets. Resistance is futile. :-D

Edit: I've added an emoticon to make it clear that this is not meant as a complaint but as a joke. ;-)

Release date Q2 2024 . I guess it will cost 20 euros .

Stellaris is the game that gave me the most bang for my buck, I do not regret a single penny I spent on the game and its expansions!
(obviously I bought all that over several years, the total cost for buying everything at once is probably obscene)

It appears you may have misunderstood my lighthearted remark as a complaint about PDX's DLC practices and pricing. Take a look at the video thumbnail or banner on the store page, and you'll see what prompted my quip. ;-)

Right there with you. :)
It's also nice to play in multiplayer with a buddy.

The only other paradox game I have more time logged with is Hearts of Iron 4.
But I find that one just simple and relaxing.

Doesn't change the fact a lot of Stellaris DLC is crap and add nothing much.

I got the Borg reference (ironically I know Borgs only because of Stellaris), but I thought you were both doing a funny reference and complaining about their expansions practices.

I obviously disagree strongly with this take.

But even if you were right, there is no reason to buy any expansion you do not want to play (I do not buy an expansion until I find at least one empire concept it enables and I would like to play). The base game by itself is already much better than most 4X games out there.

There is a reason several of stellaris DLCs have received mixed reviews on Steam. Because they barley add anything to the gameplay. Something can be said about most Paradox games when comes to DLC.

Now that you mention it, yes, without an emoticon it can also be interpreted as a complaint.

I also own Stellaris plus most of its DLC, and I like it. I also own almost all of their other games released to date with all DLC included. I'm still missing some for Stellaris, but slowly catching up, whenever they are on sale. ;-)

Yes, but it is not what you think. Most negative reviews are actually posted because of the changes done to the base game at the time of each expansion release, and are not about the actual expansion itself.
Hopefully they will release a DLC that will add fun to the game again someday
Mindbending trailer!
Possible to preorder?
