The funny thing is this one actually looks pretty good for the genre. Maybe it's an acquired taste but I dig it. There's a mood.

I don't have an issue with all the bright and cheerful characters. The issue that I'm having with this game is that the choices that were made for the background textures looks like they were trying to go for a glitchy look, similar to Broken Reality, but it's just not working here.

There's a difference between Graphics and Aesthetics.

Wasteland is still a great game and loads of fun to play, and it's essentially basic iconography.

Even without nostalgia I can enjoy the old Resident Evils despite the primitive graphics.

This... this is just... ugly.

Guys, it's lo-fi horror. Most games in the genre look a little, well... bad. In a weird way it's a part of the charm. Definitely not for everyone, though.
