Memecchi: Hiding the UI for promotional screenshots is a common practice, even in gameplay footage (that's more rare but you still see it from time to time)
Just because some consider it common practice doesn't mean it is anything less than a bad practice.

mqstout: Certainly not interested in a game that has no UI. How am I supposed to tell my health and ammo and shit?
Lots of people actually like the lack of huds, they say huds break immersion. I remember way back when Ubisoft King Kong game came out, people were excited about it's lack of a hud

edit-I just played the demo. There is a UI with health and armor in it. No onscreen ammo indicator unless you start shooting, it looks limitless on the gun I have. The bar goes down but then recharges when you stop shooting.

edit 2- Got a different gun in demo. There is definitely an easily seen ammo counter

tfishell: I'd buy Dead Island Definitive Collection if Deep Silver finally brought it, though I'm not expecting it any time soon if ever tbh, if multiplayer is considered very important by many.

Gameplay looks like a cross between Ghostrunner & Doom (2016) - definitely going into library once it's here.
Thanks Reikon, Deep Silver & GOG.

Hell yes! + Galaxy features, pretty please?
Oh I've played the demo for that, that's a pretty cool one. Bit of a linear game with tunnels between combat rooms but there's so many games with sprawling levels and open worlds it's fine to just go forwards sometimes. Even then I still managed to miss some collectable doohicky god knows where; I must've walked right over it.
