A combination of Action RPG and Tower Defense. Slay monsters, find weapons, upgrade your armies, defend your base – Legendary Hoplite is coming soon to GOG! Moreover, Legendary Hoplite: Ajax’s Trial, the game’s prologue version is available to play right now for free!

In Legendary Hoplite you’ll play as Dio, a young commander inspired by the old heroes from Greek mythos. He uses spears, swords and shields to slay thousands of monsters attacking the city of Ithaca. Dio has yet to discover his true power with a wide selection of gear to be used, godlike powers to be summoned and entire new armies to be drafted for battle. This is a war for the fate of mankind.

The most important goal is to not let the enemy pass through the gate. Fight against the beasts and legendary tribes from Greek mythology. They will use all their might to break through your ranks and shatter the line of defense. In battles, you must lead your army and think of the right strategies to face different enemies.



Legendary Hoplite: Ajax’s Trial allows you to to experience the beginning of the game and get a taste of the thrilling gameplay. Prepare to experience the trial from Ajax, featuring 7 levels and a boss fight.

What an interesting concept... on itch.io (I seem to remember) there is a developer with a similar game, but much simpler. Thanks for the prologue, I will try the title. =)

This sounds really cool ! And reminds me of "Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes" that I really loved on the DS !

May be one day, since there is the "Definitive Edition" coming on July, and Dotemu is involved so... fingers crossed ! (that would be awesome to have those 2 games on gog :D)

Played the demo for this. I enjoyed it. I'll probably get it.

I saw the Clash of Heroes vibes -- great game. Sadly, this is not like that. This is lane-based defense with an active player; real-time, actiony.
