The Great War is over – the fight continues. An epic survival strategy game from THQ Nordic, Last Train Home is coming soon to GOG!

Embark on a desperate mission through the depths of a war-torn wasteland. Your goal is to guide Czechoslovak soldiers back home onboard an armored train, but the path ahead is fraught with peril.

Caught in the middle of a brutal civil war between Russia's Red and White Armies, your unit must remain in fighting shape, managing what little resources you have and maintaining morale at all costs. Venture through the bleak and unforgiving landscape of Siberia, where the freezing cold and the merciless environment will push you to your very limit. Resources are scarce and your crew is exhausted, but you must keep pushing forward.

The game is based on historical events and it presents a compelling narrative that portrays the experiences of the Czechoslovak Legion and their valiant fight on behalf of the Entente powers during World War I.

In Last Train Home, you’ll:

PICK YOUR BATTLES: Deploy your squad and complete diverse objectives in a series of real-time missions where specialist combat skills, planning, and superior tactics will lead you to victory.

EQUIP YOUR SOLDIERS: Level up your men by unlocking new skills and gathering better equipment – discover their stories, assign medals, and help them rise up through the ranks.

MANAGE YOUR CREW: Direct your soldiers in their non-combat roles onboard the train. Craft items, heal your wounded, and restore morale for the arduous journey home.

UPGRADE YOUR TRAIN: Unlock your armored train’s full potential by upgrading the carriages and locomotive and oversee important maintenance work to keep it running.

JOURNEY THROUGH SIBERIA: Stockpile and trade supplies, make new allies, and overcome crisis after crisis as civil war rages across the vast snowfields of Siberia.

All of that, soon on GOG! Wishlist Last Train Home so you won’t missi its release or any special offer!
Very happy to see this release here!

GOG.com: Coming soon: Last Train Home
Ooh, that looks really nice - onto the wishlist with it...aaand it's real time - off the wishlist again. ;)
Looks interesting, if anything for the uncommon setting. I will look for some gameplay videos.
This looks really interesting, but I rather dislike survival games... maybe I'd give it a shot if at least the combat was turn based. A pity, because the setting/premise is great.
Cool setting and premise, check. Real-time combat with unlimited pause, check. System requirements - maybe? And I hope there are no RNG dice rolls, though RTS are usually better at this than TBS. Will check it out probably on launch.
This looks like what I wanted Bounty Train to become but it never did (by the time I stopped anyway). No shade vs that game -- I just found the pacing got bad once you had to do some more of the "point and click adventure" parts before you could do upgrades. It was legit good overall.

Excellent game made with much passion and love. I have played the demo and it was awesome. (Shame the demo is not on gog though)
How about trading the armored train for a sea passage, seems less perilous. Unless the idea was to bring the expensive train to safety, not the people?

Because there was the Reds to fight before reaching north and south ports, and IIRC the train was loading gold to better build their nation. So, they went traveling all the world along to the East dispite at first their home was not so far to the West.
I guess you can easy the way using the gold, but in the end it will remove Victory Points.

But they are former Austro-Hungarian solders, not Czechoslovak solders. Even If they going home from the edge of Eastern Front - it's about 1100-1600 km from Prague. But wait, they going... home through enemy territory to Vladivostok, wich is almost furthest landmark from Prague (about 6800 km). Is scriptwrighter thinks Czechoslovaks home is Japan or m.b. Alaska? Or imagine Czechoslovaks as Maritime nation? Are they lost? What home their last train going?..
At first I think it's someone like Netflix scriptwrighters doing, but no - Ashborne Games locate in Czech Republic. Well... it looks like someone stares at Metro Exodus script too much and that drives him crazy.
That would be funny but nowadays, when sick logic spread through all western civilisation (even very official) scripts it looks quite disturbing

It's based on history and facts, get over yourself. You're lucky not to be banned.

Not explaining much.
IIRC, at first they were Reds for the revolution, but Trotsky betrayed them, so they "decided" to turn White, and finally flee.
(the Reds betrayed so much people, including the makhnovists, the workers from StPetersbourg, the sea-warriors from Kronsdadt, and all the Green who wanted to remain free)
