Bohemian rhapsody.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now to receive the Treasure Map DLC as a pre-order bonus.
Your sword is vengeance. Your sword is destiny. Your sword is all you have left.
The civil war that ravages medieval Bohemia took everything from you and now a life in the service of a local lord seems the only available path. But only momentarily, because this dynamic open world is packed with role-playing opportunities and challenges, opening up into a gut-wrenching narrative involving historical characters of the era.

NOTE: The DRM-free version of the game will be released on GOG.com on February 27, due to the publisher's decision.
So who is pre ordering? :P.

I might wait like others, until most of the bugs have been squashed... and if and when they add a proper save function....

I pre-ordered, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll be downloading as soon as it hits the GOG servers. The only genuine concern I have at the moment has nothing to do with reviews already published, or any of the gameplay elements that have been criticised or praised, because I'll make my own mind up on whether the game matches my hopes and expectations.

It's more to do with the size of any patches, as the game itself will take the best part of half a day to download on my connection. If there's any indication that several 20gb+ patches will be coming out over the next month or so, it's likely my purchase will just sit parked in my GOG 'Collection' until things settle down, which is a shame, as I'm looking forward to diving into the game.

There have already been two huge patches for the console version in the first week alone, so I'm hoping the PC version GOG have available will at least already have those addressed, in collaboration with the developer.
Preordering, yeah I will most likely, but there is still no reason to do so till the day before release at the earliest. The only reason I preorder sooner these days is if I find a special deal/coupon code on a site like GMG that gives me a better preorder discount. Honestly if GoG hadn't posted this game was being released here I would already be playing the Steam version because I could have gotten it for a minimum 23% off.

The only reason I am even willing to pay the full MSRP on GoG vs discounted steam version is because DRM-Free is a major feature I want, along with the ability to NOT require patching the game to the latest version to even play it if I don't want to wait.
Couple of things about preoders:

If you're like me and want your first experience to be smooth sailing, let the patches roll in before playing. Every month spent waiting is rewarded with an objectively better version of the game. If you're avoiding GOG Galaxy, don't download the game way beforehand because GOG replaces download links with the latest version, so if you miss one patch your version will be incompatible with the next update.

The preorder bonus could be like the DLC from Fallout: New Vegas where the early game was unbalanced by superior DLC equipment. My fear is that just like New Vegas I won't be able to turn it off without going into the game files...
I'll pass on this one. Looks like a Bethesda title, and the only saving grace of those games are the mods which Kingdom Come lacks.

wow this is actually a good amount of mods already and many touching potential annoying gameplay features
Well, I finally got to play some of this during the weekend. I am enjoying it, but people are not kidding about the bugs and performance issues - I've only played a few hours and have already run into one serious bug which made an early quest almost impossible, as well as a MASSIVE frame-rate drop in one area (including during a cutscene) followed by a crash which forced me to shut down the game. I still think it's worth buying, but I'd recommend waiting a while for patches and performance fixes before actually playing it.

Anyway, I have a spare Steam key from the Kickstarter, so I've added it to my list in the General Trading thread if anyone's interested. :)

What are your speccs if you don't mind me asking. I was going to try and track down another 8 gb stick of RAM but sort of forgot. I'm curious how my existing 8 gb will fare.

I'm hoping I can just brute force it with my GPU - I think I'm squarely in the recommended range so I'm hoping I can keep it pretty!
Not great (I only have 8GB RAM as well), but then I wasn't running it on the highest settings, and the game had been running pretty smoothly up to that point. At some point I'll try turning down some of the settings and see if I can work out what was causing the slowdown (some people on the forums are suggesting it's related to V-sync).
Still thinking whether to pre order this --- hows it perform with 8gb ram ? (im using i5 2500K + nvidia 1050ti gpu) ? (not expecting to game above 1440x900 res though)
Someone on the interwebs wrote they were reported for the crime of picking a lock by their lockpicking trainer because the time allotted for the minigame expired during their attempt. Delightful.
