I took a look at it and was immediately hooked by the teaser/trailer... what a catchy formula this genre has, I feel like a happy kid waiting for this video game.
There is a Demo on Steam. Not sure why it's not on here as well.
I want the "Pictures of Cats" as a bonus with the GOG version. Hear me @GOG?
Looks pretty interesting. Is there an catchy mechanic behind this one?

I have been playing the demo on Steam. There is a cool series of puzzles where you look into a mirror shard to read messages and spot ghosts. I am enjoying it quite a bit. Though the performance tanks a bit on my old computer when I use the mirror. It increases the area rendered and taxes my GPU.

I am sure they will optimize it better over time.

Speaking of cats, didn't see the cat in any of the gameplay or screenshots. Don't lure me into a horror game with cats and not deliver the kitties!

As a side note, there seriously needs to be more cat games. Cattails can't be the only game out tehre of it's kind and flout this lack of DRM-free.

EDIT: Mispelled.

The Living Tombstone, now that's a name I haven't heard for a long time. Also kinda weird knowing his music genre and now he's making horror ost. But if the devs willing to use his music as the strong point then I don't mind trying.

Still salty about what TLT did several years ago tho. Yo TLT, great tune as always, but also, fuck you man!

There is a cat you meet in an office and you can pet it. :D It is not every where in the game but the character does have a connection to it.

Oh, so it's actually regularly present, then?

I believe it will be. From what I gather the game is segmented into a series of almost cases that you have to investigate. The cat was found in the players office and seems to be the players cat. In any case, he called it by name and it is intertwined with the games story.

You should check out the demo. I would actually not call it a typical demo. it is fairly long, expansive, and has a lot of content. It feels like the first of the cases you need to investigate and has portions that hint at a greater mystery tying them all together.

From the store page synopsis.

"As you awake in the corridors of an inexplicable building, you find the environment takes on a life of its own and leads you to discover a series of victims, all exposed to the same experimental chemical. In your search for answers, bizarre visions emerge and introduce a host of imposing horrors…and a cat named Tonia. "

Awesome, might have to give this game a chance, then. Sort of sick of games that advertise cats and fail to deliver a cat, or cat games that advertise gameplay and fail to deliver a game.

Well, from what I have experienced in the demo it delivers on both the cat and the game play. :)

So far it has puzzle solving (both the main objective puzzles and ones that feel like optional side ones), exploration, stealth, and combat. Though combat feels like a last resort as ammo is scarce. It has healing items you can find as well though they are limited just like the ammo.
