It's finally arrived: https://www.gog.com/en/game/flowstone_saga

I've already completed the Steam version, because I got a backer key from their Kickstarter campaign. But I will play it again soon on another difficulty (which means higher battle speed).

If you play it for the first time and are not very good at Tetris, I would recommend to turn of the brick falling speed completely. That makes it turn-based Tetris and helps a lot to concentrate on monsters' strategies and counter them.
From the description:

Hold Mode:
Want to focus more on precision without any time pressure? You can switch to Hold Mode at any time, which changes the flow of battle into a turn-based style!

In Hold Mode, blocks do not fall at all: you get to move them at your leisure. Enemies will not attack in real-time either. Instead, every time you lock a piece into place, enemy action bars will tick up slightly. You'll see exactly how many pieces are left before they get a turn, so you can plan out your tactics in peace.

We've taken care to make sure Flowstone Saga is just as balanced & fun in Hold Mode as it is in real-time, so that even puzzle novices can enjoy the richness of the game's RPG systems!

Sounds definitely more fun like RT-Mode to me.
Any reason for releasing it with nearly a 1 year delay here?

For me, the "enthusiasm" is out as i was already getting tons of other games and now this games purchase will be delayed even more; as we did not even get any accurate release-date, just a rogue-spawn as usual.

No matter the not to fortunate circumstances, this game certainly is rather valued by a minority and the sales in general was limited, from what i can see. It may have helped them a lot if more platforms was taken into account "day one".

Almost no one from the "usual consumers" got near unlimited money, so, if some other publisher is being more friendly with GOG offers... it is a advantage to them as they will "come first". Or in other words "as the signature on GOG due to lesser quantity is in general higher it may be able to offer some unique advantage not seen on other huge platforms where almost every game is just one of X-numbers and nothing special".

Sure, currently "Hollow Knight Silksong" is providing the big focus here, and it seems to be a "day one"... its advantage can be serious.
