Prepare to role-play your most exciting sins yet.

Divinity: Original Sin II, the sequel to one of the most beloved RPGs in recent years, is coming soon, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Named PC Game of the Year by Gamespot and Best Kickstarter of 2014 by RockPaperShotgun, Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition sure made a big splash in the RPG community, with its inventive use of turn-based tactics and impressive attention to detail. Now its sequel is about to raise the bar even further!

A thousand years have passed since the events of the first game, and the world is now a darker, more dangerous place. Shape your Sourcerer characters by choosing between five diverse races, and carefully define their origin stories before you unleash them upon a world that treats your talents with fear and distrust. Hunted by the Magisters of the Divine Order, you must first escape their relentless witch-hunt and join the fight to push back the spreading Void.

Larian Studios are not ones to rest on their laurels, so they're improving and expanding all of the original's celebrated features in meaningful and highly ambitious ways. Aside from the complex origin stories and the rich character creation options, expect ever more engaging turn-based combat, smarter NPC A.I., and extended player freedom. And of course, get ready to meet Eithne, the enigmatic, scroll-selling NPC that the GOG community helped design back in April!

After spending some time with it, RockPaperShotgun much appreciated the many different ways in which one can deal with the game's challenges and Eurogamer is very excited about the origins system, that will diversify and personalize the experience even further. Good stuff.

Wishlist Divinity: Original Sin II today and get ready to role-play your way through an epic story full of unpredictable battles, sinister secrets, and powerful magic -- coming soon, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Divinity: Original Sin II is planned to join the Games in Development program on GOG.com in October 2016.

Buenro-games: This company deserves nice rewards for their efforts on the entire series. Well done, Larian.
Yes, indeed!

Ouch, my late me - it seems the KS campaign has closed - I'd have loved to give the studio an early support.
Then how do you subscribe for a KS notifications? (You see, I don't want to miss the D:OS III KS campaign)
the problem is they are coming across as less a rpg and more a M-fps with some rp bits tacked on... in the same way Mass effect 2 & 3 targetted a simple market to keep the backers happy.
My body is ready!
Any progress / news regarding the Early Access being available on GOG?
The email I received said it was being worked on, but that was the last I have heard.

Don't be too keen on the game and wait patiently.

Yaaay. More dull-as-dishwater TB combat! Just what the accountant ordered. Shut up and take.... this away from me....

Green_Hilltop: Anyone else sad that the first female character you see has a boobplate, not to mention that it looks like it has a huge hole across her chest until you pause and notice it's the just the colour, so it's made to look like it shows skin when it doesn't?

The later classes were better, there was one knight that actually had the same armour as the male counterpart, but it's annoying if you want to look powerful/strong/hero-like and have a great, awesome looking armour and instead you get fanservice, which isn't present in the male models (only the male elf looked a bit like that, with the huge groin, but that may be just the outfit though). If it was the same for both sexes, I'd be fine with it, but I'm always mighty annoyed when I want to play as a badass warrior/archer/mage hero and instead I get bikini ladies, strippers or just sexy nonsense that's not present in the male version, so I have to play as a guy if I want that.
+1

There's no reason to have stripper-ladies and buff-dudes be the only options. It's really annoying. At least have armor options for buff women and stripper dudes too. Or have stats separate from looks.

Yes, sad to see at this day and age. Going to wait for a sale really if there is no option to change that.
Won't be able to run it, but I think I backed this. Maybe.
Thanks GOG for the reminder, just dug up my kickstarter emails (since I backed and forgot about this).

Now I'm all good to get a copy on both GOG and Steam (I kickstarted on the double dips tier).

There we go sharing the love between GOG and steam. Or does that just make me a slut?

Even the guys wouldn't work. None of them look like badasses, they look like models trying out for a fantasy themed Mr Universe. That much bulk would get tiring so fast... They' d be awful at everything. It's why I usually play rogue classes, they at least look like they're good at what they do

Zoidberg: And again, "in dev", something that is even WORSE than preordering. I can't stand behind that and I won't.

acute71: Can you please eleborate why "In dev" is worse than pre-ordering? Witrh games in development you most likely can see gameplay video's on Youtube which will give you an idea of the game and the gameplay.

With pre-ordering... well, think of Watch dogs and No Man's Sky. Nuff said.
If I may, preordering a game that is going to come out is silly as you're buying the advertisement without knowing if the game is any good. Preordering an indev game is sillier as you're buying the advertisement without knowing if the game is even going to come out. There's been quite a few early release/in dev games I've purchased where the devs half way through went screw it, have fun with what's here. There's some which are never going to be completed, some which are only really decent games thanks to community mods, and some where expansion packs are coming out prior to the game actually being officially released.

And these aren't all from untrustworthy sources, Sword of the Stars I was a great game, and The Pit is pretty fun. Too bad they decided to go after profit from The Pit DLC rather than patching SotS II.

Preordering a game that's absolutely coming out means you find out if it's a buggy unplayable mess after you've dropped cash on it. Preordering a promise though... That's for dreamers and mad men/women

The thing is that some people have so much money, that... can't wait to gift their money, for a promise, that if will become reality, will be, at 90%, a big mess for the first 6 months and that, after those six months, will be sold, again, for 1/3 the original price with added contents and bonuses plus now, the original contents, playing as intended initially.

But, hey, I supported the developers.
