somewhat made me think of Sid Meier's Pirates, but this has a really different atmosphere and unique gameplay mechanics, it may be intriguing to play!

Considering the brand still belongs to Microids and they're a publisher now, it's safe to say it's more a reboot of the series rather than a sequel. It's been 24 years since the original game came out. But the emphasis on combining trading, naval battles and boarding mode is still there, that's what made the Corsairs unique back in the past.

Nice, hope it will be solid.

I remember, that I breefly tried the original Corsair game, one of my classmates had it on their family computer. But that was about two decased ago. Or more, don't remember.
