Wolf904: Next time GOG curators reject a decent game you really wanted to buy DRM-Free, come back to this thread and realize that you are the ones who made it happen, by encouraging and cheering-on GOG to fill this place with rushed, mobile-phone quality trash.
Sorry to break the bad news, but not every release here was designed with you or your demographic in mind despite what you may think. There are other audiences here too who enjoy a casual point-and-click, puzzle game. And at the same time, I don't go into every release thread of games that clearly don't appeal to me and complain about the game and curation.

I suggest discarding the scarcity / pie mindset in favour of an abundance mindset instead. There's no good reason why both games can't exist here as GOG continues to increase releasing more games every year (483 last year).

Why the facepalm? GOG rejected Degica's library of Cave and Taito titles and their excuse for rejecting Mushihimesama specifically was really stupid and self defeating.

You answered it yourself. Because their decision to reject game was stupid and self defeating.

Oh, sorry I thought the facepalm was directed at me for some reason and not GOG. I need sleep.

I realize that not everyone is the type of person to come up with a good title, but I've been seeing a run of hilariously badly named titles on GOG which otherwise had interesting premises shot by their own lack of namesense.

For example: Mark's Marvelously Mad Meowventures. It rolls off the tongue, it has alliteration, and a good mouthfeel. (And it doesn't hammer in the point.)

All I'm saying is: Workshop your tiles. Record them being said aloud and see how they sound. Ask other people. It's not like there's some mammoth network where you can instantly get in touch with potentially billions of people to ask for names.

This. Seriously. First impressions count, and that includes the name of your product.
Whenever I see this type of games I always remember the old Goblin games. Maybe the grandparents of the "surrealist adventure games".
And unfortunately quite forgotten nowadays.

Now we can play guess the downvoters.
Are they gog staff, butthurt fans, third party PR shills or angry devs.

ReynardFox: Sure am glad I have the opportunity to buy this 2000's Newgrounds caliber content instead of AAA-caliber games like Mushihimesama
avatar
Breja: Uhm... do you mean this? That's supposed to be an AAA-caliber game? Given that choice, I'd go with this meow meow thing too :P
Cave are the gods of bullet hell games and don't you forget it!

ReynardFox: You must not play Cave games to even make such a joke, they are the cream-of-the-crop quality wise when it comes to shmups.
shmups?
isnt that the worst genre after VN-s?

DD & Ji Ji: Why ?
very childish + this typical oh alter world design I hate
I still have no idea why most of these point and click games want to do this, it is just bad
and the cat mania ... is just the icing on this cake

this is what 6 years olds play for them it is fine, hopefully they will grow out of it fast
and nobody older should

oh another reason the audio dunno what the correct english word for it but it sounds like it is full of babble(the babies make) which is typically used in productions made for babies as it is cheap to make and babies wouldn't understand normal talk anyway , yeah they wont develop as much as other babies watching normal talk but their dumb parents doesn't care anyway
