Now, we have something for our dear retro fans, going back straight from the 2000s – Boiling Point: Road to Hell is coming soon on GOG!

Originally launched in 2005, Boiling Point: Road to Hell has made a return. Take a trip down memory lane to explore this early trailblazer in the open-world roleplaying FPS genre. The story follows Saul Myers, a seasoned veteran of the French Foreign Legion. When he learns that his daughter has been abducted in the fictional South American nation of Realia, Saul embarks on a daring rescue mission.

Saul's journey unfolds in the Realian Valley, a diverse landscape comprising lush tropical jungles, rural farms, quaint villages, and opulent estates. As he traverses this terrain, Saul must confront a series of perilous situations involving corrupt politicians and criminal organizations, all in his relentless pursuit to discover his daughter's whereabouts.

Soon on GOG!
Oh yes, gaming's goofiest action dad!

Excellent, I love this game. :) And I see Wesp5 of V:TMB's fame has uploaded an unofficial patch earlier this year for this game as well:

Edit: And here's hoping we get Precursors and Xenus 2: White Gold here as well.

Interesting! One of the most ambitioned, but also worst games, ever! :D
Buggy as it was, I loved this game.
So many good features... :)

Another classic to the wishlist!

Does it have a good savegame handling, i.e. save at any time you want with enough slots? The gameplay looks quite varied!

Yes but i think it isn't preffered to save during combat otherwise save when you want.
A 2005 game you say? By the graphics I would have estimated it to be a Half-life era game, e.g. 1998-2000.

Oh well, maybe it is good. I may recognize the name but I have never played it.
damn, buggy blast from the past! :o

will this re-release be improved somehow?

I hope they fixed the game. On release it was a mess. Still, even with the bugs it will be nice to have this again, DRM free.

For anyone wondering, the closest game to this in terms of gameplay was Far Cry 2.
A classic. I have this one in original and physical format. I have to admit that it hasn't aged very well today. But that's the way classics are. Let's hope we'll have another game from the Xenus series soon (like Xenus II or Precursors). On the wish list for the time being. Thanks, GOG!
Finally I'll get my hands on this game.
For a moment I was shocked because I misread and mistook the game for "Ride to Hell: Retribution", which is absolute and utter garbage.

But Boiling Point? Hell yeah!

Back when it came out, it used too many resources and was buggs, didn't make it to the top. But it was one hall of a game anyway, the better Far Cry 2 if you want.

Bring it on!
