Prepare for a skill-driven action RPG game inspired by the genre classics and set in a rich fantasy world.
Genre: Action, RPG
I just took it off my steam wishlist and put it here on gog!
This line: "One reckless action and you die. " makes me think it might not be my kind of game. But it is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

RPGFanboy: Looks like diablo the action RPG. Nothing wrong with that but it does not look anything like Dark Souls lol

eldacar1979: The souls-like ref is about having a tactical approach to the combat. No waves of mobs to be killed just pushing buttons whit no ratio
It's more of a marketing ploy to be honest since the Souls series is so popular.
Too few games with playable Orcs, wishlisted.
The graphics looks very good. But I don't like the "hardcore combat system". Hopefully there will be an "easy" option. And please add a Linux version.

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2021-06-30-chris-avellone-files-lawsuit-over-sexual-misconduct-allegations

"Games writer Chris Avellone has taken legal action over several accusations of sexual misconduct.

The allegations were made against Avellone in June 2020, with two women sharing their accounts via Twitter. Shortly after the allegations arose, several developers cut ties with Avellone, notably Dying Light developer Techland."

+ Paradox (for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, stating back in 2020 that "none of his contributions remain in the game")
+ Gato Studio (for The Waylanders, stating back in 2020 that "Waylanders has very little writing by him as it stands" and that his contributions are going to be looked at)
+ a couple more, I think

Gamera Interactive, the developer/publisher behind Alaloth also made a similar statement back then, but, if I remember correctly just condemning and not outright committing to strike everything Avellone contributed from the game.

Will be interesting to see if the other developers/publishers are going to backpedal and keep Avellone's contributions in their games, as well as properly credit him, too. At least those whose games are still in development and have yet to be released. Too late for The Waylanders and Dying Light 2.

"We were digging the board setting-up the big update with all the available info so far. We forgot to mention the topic among others so it's probably time to clarify things in regards of Chris here too.

It has been a while now and we were not able to take a position at time because as per anything comm-related, we were not able to say a word without asking for approval and we simply had to stick to an official statement from our publisher [that was very neutral anyway].

We can say that Chris has always been super professional with us, we worked together for a few time and he helped us shaping the world of Plamen at the very beginning of the project. The first draft of the lore, the pantheon, the cities, families, clans and companions are from Chris. Of course we iterated his work on the way in the last years but this is what he did for us, as Creative Consultant. Our cooperation ended way before the happenings in 2020. He will be properly credited.

That's all :)"
