Is it possible to install Daemon Tools Lite on this update? I've tried this on my laptop (upgrade/not clean) after the update and basically it fails to install the SPTD / Bus driver rendering the install useless.

Is there any way to disable the Anniversary update if I decide to re-clean install 1511?

Thanks.

Will try to see if Daemon Tools runs on an the AU (though not a clean install, but rather an upgrade). If you want to disable the anniversary update download, you will have to make your connection metered, which will prevent the updates from being installed.
It works fine on my install.
Looking at their site right now, they support Windows 10 Anniversary. They even mentioned it separately from Windows 10 as a supported system, so you should be okay. I'm still downloading it nonetheless, I usually rely on Windows' built in image mounter, but Daemon Tools is essential for BIN/CUE image discs.

Despite getting a warning from Windows itself that it doesn't work with this version of Windows, as well as a Windows Defender notification (for some reason it showed no new malware in the quarantine, wth), Daemon Tools' main window runs fine.

I remembered just now that I don't have any ISOs on my HDD currently, so real testing of the program will have to wait.

Which specific version did you install? Thanks.

Thanks, it wouldn't even boot on my laptop, it basically gives a "Disc Soft Bus Service is not working" window and closes.

Daemon Tools has far to many ads and installs stuff that breaks to easy... I've been a big fan of WinCDEmu for awhile. Works with no issues on 10x64AE.
I don't know... It was an existing install before I upgraded.

I tried that WinCDEmu, it doesn't work with CUE/WAV, so it won't do.

On the good side, I tried Daemon on a fresh Win10 install and it does work. Not sure what went wrong on the upgrade.
Although not perfect CD emulation, basic mounting of iso's is possible with ImDisk, which also is great for ramdrives of 4 gigs or less. (I've had crashes trying to push over 4Gig).

Sometimes in-place upgrade does get kaput. I'm having quirky (working as intended, just have weird problems here and there) Windows 10 SL in this laptop I'm using to type. I'll reset this next month when I'm free.
