YaronDav: Anyone who knows how easy it is to crack Steam DRM, surely also knows it's not really that difficult to crack Denuvo. That's generally not the point, adding DRM is not decision driven by technical considerations.
Denuvo is actually extremely hard to crack. There are several denuvo games that haven't been cracked for years.

tfishell: Do their games use Denuvo? Surely they know how easy it is to crack Steam DRM.

eric5h5: Yes, I looked at a bunch of their games on Steam and all but a couple of them are listed as having Denuvo.
Interesting, thanks.

And plenty that have been. It's very far from a guarantee. So it may give you a chance of it not being cracked, but not really something you could count on.

Yes, there are Denuvo games that have been cracked, but that doesn't change my statement that it is extremely difficult to do so. The DRM is integrated tightly into the game's actual code--in order to circumvent it, you have to make careful modifications to the game's binary directly, which is extraordinarily difficult and requires skills and a level of software knowledge that very few people actually possess.

A number of denuvo game "cracks" are the result of the publisher shipping an undenuvo'd binary by accident.

Also, most of the game's that were cracked quickly were usually using older versions of denuvo. More modern versions take into account the techniques used to crack previous games. It's getting harder and harder to crack it. Some games take months to crack, and lesser known titles might not get cracked at all.

There's a lot of people that seem to assume that Denuvo is the same garbage as Tages or SecuROM, but it's far more effective at its stated goal.

I don't like that fact, but that is the case.

Never heard of that hat, how is it? Is it very different from the RTC games, or more simillar to them?

More in the vein of a freeform/sandboxy type game than scenarios & goals. More for designers than park masters.
