It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

So, my issue seems to be restricted to a single one of my computers, but whenever I view the GOG.com website with Chrome, all the text is both italicized and bolded....just on this one machine, no matter what if I use private mode or regular mode.

Anyone else get this?

Hey friend.
I did a quick search in Google, and someone suggested downloading this file:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16083
I hope it helps.

No luck I'm afraid...

Thank you for taking a look though :)

It´s only happening with GOG? Not any other webpage?
It's probably not the most ideal 'solution' but I've seen people overcome the issue by deleting the Helvetica font from their system. Just remember to save a copy if you want to give that a try.

I don't know what OS sansom22 uses, but few Windows users have Helvetica. If I'm not mistaken, Microsoft created Arial to have something similar to the Helvetica that Apple had licensed. (As a bit of a font geek, though, I do prefer Helvetica.)

That's why I'm thinking it might be the case, for the issue only to be present on this one machine rather than anything associated to sansnom22's Google / Chrome account.

Either way, it's only a quick test to rule it out.
But still the webfont used for the webpage are being downloaded from Google servers when making the petition.

So there are like 2 probabilities mostly.

The font is not being downloaded by some kind of blocker or the user has the fonts for the page overwritten in his settings.

It is happening with a couple other pages

I just tested helvetica removal, no luck

I'm sure it is my fonts gummed up of course, but not sure which etc...or the cause

OS is Windows 10

Did you check your fonts and encoding under Chrome browser settings?

If you are using Chrome, press F12. In the appearing window, at the bottom is the console, copy and paste or take a screenshot of whatever appears there.
soo....resolved the issue in the stupidest way of all...upgraded from Chrome from version 52 to 53....?
