Any good shooters in this sale? I already own the Bloodrayne games and Advent Rising (excellent games imo), but I see plenty of obscure titles here that might be worth a look.

Thank you. I have Last Rites, Battle Engine Aquila and Bloodrayne Betrayal in cart. I'm looking at the Vietnam-games now.
Heh, I remember these games. I like it how the PT Boat and Tank engine sounds are about the same. And they both sound like the tank in Battlezone.
"BloodRayne Complete Bundle" got removed from the sale, before I had a chance of buying it....

fisk0: I wish GOG would prioritize getting these kinds of games first like they used to. These have all been on Steam for over a year, and as some have pointed out, a few titles have been on Steam way longer than this but still haven't made it over here. You used to be the go-to source for classic PC titles, GOG!
You make it sound like it is GOG's fault, when we don't really know that it is.
Whether a game comes here or not is also down to the DEV/PUB.

I recently contacted ZIGGURAT about WWII GI, and they said they had no time-frame for it coming to GOG, but that they intend for all their games to be at both GOG and Steam, and many are already at Steam.

In the end it is just a waiting game and all about priorities and no doubt numbers of support staff. If GOG are understaffed, that could also be the issue.

I definitely don't know about this case, but there has been enough weirdness on GOG's side in the last couple of years to make me lean towards it probably being on their end rather than the developers/publishers. Aside from the Devotion stuff that's been all the rage in the last few months, there has been stuff like Möbius Front, which got a "TBA" store page here 4 months ago, the developers have apparently been ready to put it on GOG for months already but GOG is stalling for some reason. Over the years we've had quite a few examples about publishers of classic titles reaching out to get their titles on GOG but getting rejected, so I think it could be useful to remind them that there's actual interest in what GOG used to stand for still.

You could be right, and maybe they are just snowed under and short-staffed when it comes to curation. It doesn't help matters in that case, if budding employees have to move to Poland, especially in the current COVID climate.

Or maybe due to finances they are doing a juggling act ... the odd game to please, but mostly focusing on what will bring the most profit to the store. My money would be mostly on this excuse, if GOG is indeed the problem ... unless you want to believe the curators are just wacky. It could be a bit of everything really ... and it could be about the deal GOG want to make, that DEV/PUB aren't that happy with.

Hey, maybe they just don't want to overwhelm us with too much great stuff at once ... the wallet funds for most of us aren't endless. We could also be excused for suffering from Sales Fatigue here. I need to learn to be strong and stay away for longer. LOL
