characters created by cdproject that are not in the books may appear in the game. Characters like Gerald or Triss Merigold or Yennefer have low to zero chances to appear in the game. my personal opinion

It appears TW4 is set in Kovir.
In TW3 Triss goes to Kovir to become and advisor to it's ruler.
In Kaer Morhen Geralt, Eskel and Lambert mention Kovir as a place to make good money on witcher contracts.
There's definitely a chance we might see some familiar character. On the other hand, it might be nothing more than them being mentioned in TW4 books and chats.

Geralt is already confirmed as an NPC in the game. So.. there goes that.
