hi i just pre ordered cyberpunk2077 and i have a question regarding censorship in the middle East since i am working in the middle East if I pre-orderd it From GOG will I receive the censored version of the game?

According to a press release the Middle East version of the game will be within the guidelines of the local age rating bodies in both countries. This is a strong hint that it will be censored in your region. It isn't clear whether it is actually going to be censored as was the case with The Witcher 3 which received a special Middle East version. You had best contact GOG and ask them for a clarification.

If that was indeed the case which I have a hard time believing you could also contact Geekygames which is the distributor for the Middle East region and ask them.

Does anyone know if you buy the game as a gift (therefore at the US base price), then redeem it in a Middle East country, would you get the standard US edition or a censored version?

The physical versions (definitely on console) would probably be censored. I had the same unfortunate experience with The Witcher 3 on PS4. But then I redeemed the free Witcher 3 on the recent promotion to my gog account through my censored Middle Eastern version, and that version is uncensored.

So, unless you have information to the contrary, If you buy it on gog, and play it on gog, I suspect it won't be censored.

There is no entry for that on the Community Wishlist. So you should consider to create one.
